What is it?
The MahiTahi Local Government Collaboration Portal is an initiative instigated by Bay of Plenty Local Authority Shared Services (BOPLASS) to accelerate the growth of shared service strategies and projects throughout local government in New Zealand by increasing visibility of councils’ opportunities to collaborate.

How does it work?
The Collaboration Portal is based in Microsoft Teams and offers the following functionality:
1. Projects
Find out who is doing what. Make contact with those on the same roadmap. List your council’s projects.
2. Chat and Message Boards
Connect with peers in other councils to share information, start conversations in the same channel of interest. Review previous discussions.
3. File Repository
Share documents, strategies, policies and procedures, project information, business cases, templates, reports, etc. See what resources are available for your area of business.
